Camellia sinensis, both Green and Black Teas, contain a bunch of antioxidants and an amino acid called, L-theanine. L-theanine has been found to help reduce anxiety and stress, and promote mental alertness.
Orange Pekoe Black Tea
OP means that the tea is loose leaf and high quality. Why is it called orange? Before drying, a high-quality, oxidized tea leaf takes on a copper-y color.
Bancha Leaf Green Tea
Bancha is a Japanese green tea. It has a unique flavor and a stronger, organic straw smell. It is made from coarser leaves and contains some stalks and stems, it has less caffeine than other green teas. It also has a milder taste. This makes it a good tea for children. Because the leaves are more mature, they are often roasted or fired at a high temperature to give the tea a nutty, toasted flavor.
Jasmine Green Tea
Blossoms from jasmine are placed alongside tea leaves in storage, allowing the aroma to infuse. Tea leaves are highly absorbent and start to take on a sweet fragrance when they come into contact with the jasmine flower. The sweet, floral jasmine flavor adds a new dimension to the classic earthy flavors of green tea.
