Jon Jackson Bio
Jon Jackson is a decorated combat veteran who served as a US Army Airborne Ranger and founded STAG VETS INC. in 2014 and Comfort Farms in 2016 to assist displaced veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress and traumatic brain injury.
He created STAG VETS Inc to ensure Veterans could receive the care they deserved and use sustainable farming as a tool to build communities and instill a sense of pride into the team of vets that are working through the program.
Jon is an Alumni of UGA’s Advancing Georgia’s Leaders in Agriculture and Forestry Program and his agricultural Program is supported by the USDA’s NIFA and NRCS program to train and teach veterans to find new careers in sustainable agriculture.

Enoch Graham Bio
Gardening in southern Oregon, Enoch Graham has developed a love for growing food in the small urban spaces available to him over the last decade. Utilizing containers, and elevated beds with limited amounts of in-ground space as well as a cement patio and stretches of alleyway, he grows a majority of his own fresh food in and around his home.
After being recognized by his neighbors for his organic gardening style, he started the YouTube channel “the Urban Gardener” to share his gardening adventures through his many videos, in the garden and on the road visiting other gardeners.
Enoch grows all sorts of fruits and vegetables in his urban garden spaces. From cool season greens and brassicas to the warmer season tomatoes and peppers, as well as some container fruit trees and blueberries. He grows a good portion of his fresh food at home, sharing extras with friends and neighbors.

Today Jon Jackson joins us for a game of This or That, where I offer him two difficult choices and he needs to decide between this.. or that. Jon is a veteran, farmer, BBQ master and founder of Comfort Farms, a nonprofit organization that grows heirloom vegetables and raises various livestock with the goal of helping veterans heal after their service.
What does Jon prefer to BBQ.. pork or beef? Does he choose community gardens or farmers markets? We’ll find out today!
