Description

(Vigna unguiculata) We are so honored to be able to share this very rare and unique seed. William’s Damn bean is actually a vining cowpea, also known as a longbean, with tremendous pods that grow up to two feet long or more! Originally grown by William Dam of Canada, whose visitors would often exclaim, “Damn!”, at the site of his beans. William’s family had grown this variety for more than 80 years when he shared seeds with Linda S. of Ray, Michigan in 1980. Lisa was kind enough to share these special seeds with us, and we are so excited to offer them in this year’s catalog!
